Home for the Holidays
I have struggled to figure out what to write for this blog.
Several epiphanies have floated across my mind only to show themselves as snipet of a disconnected idea. Not really an ephiphany I guess.
And there is really too much to write about. . .
Travels, holidays, football games. All good and exciting. However a lot to describe.
So in place of words I will send photos.
And December is here. Henry and I will have been married four months on the 14th. Time has flown, and it has been some of the best days of my life.
Somehow we have managed to be more out of state, than in it. So that is really our biggest news; we will be in Chicago during the whole month of December(minus a day trip here or there)! It is very nice to stay in one place for a bit. Today we are at the local coffee shop enjoying the local cummunity and in house roasted coffee beans. When we can, we walk to the park around the corner and throw frisbee. At the house we have set up a christmas tree, hung our chinese artifacts around the livingroom, and begun to paint the fruits of the spirit on the walls in Chinese lettering (Henry's idea). Henry continues to meet new challanges at work, but we are both thankful for the cozyness of the house to go back to.
Love 愛 was our first wall painting. The Holy Spirit has been wispering new perspective into our hearts on what Christ's love means to the Christian. May He continue to do this as we celebrate the Christmas Season. My prayer is that you discover God's love in a new way this holiday as well.
Love you guys, and thank you for your prayers.
We need them!

Love the idea of writing the fruit of the spirit in Chinese characters! I'll have to pass that on to my friend who is studying Chinese. ~Katharina
We were part of those "travels, holidays, and football games" and it sure was a lot of fun having y'all with us down South! But as the song goes, "there's no place like home for the holidays."

We are happy for your travels and home making together. We thank God for His work in you both. Our personal email has been down for 3 days, so the blog and photos have been a treat. Thanks for your special sharing and caring for your families and one another.

I'm trying for 2nd time.... Confusing since I don't want to start a blog.... so I hit the wrong thing!!!
but my comment to you two.... :)
I will share your idea of Chinese characters for fruit of the spirit with my son-in-law who taught in China for a while.
Make lots of special memories together.
We still have the 3 ornaments - a bit worse for wear after 45 years - that we had for our first tree. ;) We also had a popcorn rope and silver bells made from egg cartons and aluminum wrap. Things were "tight" as we were teaching at Carver Bible College that first year. :) Memories!!! ;)

So for some reason, I didn't get a message that you wrote on my blog! But I am glad you enjoyed the idea! How are your preparations for the big move?
Wasn't it fun?!
Such fun memories! Sorry I am just now getting to this. It seems that google didn't notify me of your comments til now!
