Zooming

It is 10:36 and people are still honking outside my window. Zooming by.
I feel in some ways my life feels like that - Zooming by. But I suppose that this also means I am enjoying myself. They say time flies when you are having fun.

This last weekend I turned 25. I feel like I am still 17, but don't tell anybody.
Actually, my boyfriend, Henry, asked me the other day if I feel wiser. And I think I do! But I also feel more childish because I keep realizing how much I don't know.

My Birthday was wonderful. My sister Julie came up to visit and Henry surprised me by inviting a few other people who I don't get to see often to celebrate with me. We went ice skating and ate at a Lebanese restaurant on a table where you can recline like Jesus did in the Bible.

Julie seemed to enjoy practicing Arabic as we looked at the menu.
Speaking of which. She is heading to an Arabic speaking country this summer on a missions trip.
She has not raised all of her support yet and needs to raise 5000 soon. She knows that Jesus will take care of her, and I don't doubt it. But He does use people, so I thought I might use the hands He gave me to type with and spread the word. Please pray for her. And if you do want to send her something you are welcome to send it to me and I will pass it on to her.

A lot is going on in my family right now. Ruth is also traveling this summer - to Zimbabwe which she is pretty excited about. And my parents are staying busy as usual. I just talked to them on the phone actually. The phone connection has been great recently. They seem well, but are staying busy. Recently, they lost some funding for the scholarship program they facilitate. Many of these children are only able to go to school because people in the United States pay for their way. Again, this is something to pray about. And if you feel like you would like to help out, I can direct you the direction!

Many of you are maybe wondering what I will be doing this summer if all of my family is going abroad. To tell you the truth, I am quite happy staying in one place for a little while. I plan on finishing my classes in April and my thesis by August. So I am planning to stay put.

And the earth keeps spinning! Cars are still driving by and it is almost eleven at night. I think I am going to hit the sack, though.

Thank you so much for the many happy wishes you have sent my way!
Let me know if there is anything I can pray about.
