It has been almost three weeks since I left New Zealand and came back to Tennessee. It has been a fairly smooth transition. God blessed me in that He provided a job the very first week I got back, working at a locally owned restaurant. I have done anything from washing dishes all
day to baking cakes. It is exhausting work, but I enjoy the work and the people. The second week, my family and I traveled to Illinois to celebrate Thanksgiving with my mother’s family. We had gathered to celebrate my grandfather’s 85th birthday as well. It was the first time the entire family had gotten together since before I was born and it was neat to be able to be a part of this.
Many of you have asked me where I am right now, and what my plans for the future are. Currently, I am staying with my parents in Tennessee. December brings both colder temperatures, and change though.Shortly, we will be packing up and moving out of the house we are currently renting. We plan to celebrate Christmas and New Years up north with grandparents. My parents and sister Julie will then be heading off to California for two months. In the mean time, my sister Ruth and I will make our way back to Cedarville. This will be Ruth’s second semester, and my last semester!
After I graduate, I hope to go to Art Therapy school to get my masters. I have put in one
application and am trying to do a couple more. We shall see where God takes me!

My parents are also unsure of their plans for the rest of next year. They have applied for a work permit for Zimbabwe. This has been denied so far. It is in the process of being reconsidered by another government office. Please pray for this in this time of indecision.
Thank you so much for your prayer, letters, money, and hugs! They have all been such
a blessing to me. I pray you have a blessed time celebrating Christ’s birth this
December!
