Currently there is pounding all around me. My new puppy, who is trying to sleep next to me, keeps raising her head thinking someone is knocking at the door. As you know, Henry and I manage to stay pretty busy. The noise is not coming from a lot of salesmen knocking on our door. Nope, it is coming from a construction crew who is re-roofing, re-siding and replacing the windows on our house. It is pretty exciting. Our house is looking better every day.
You might have noted that I mentioned a puppy. Henry and I have been considering a puppy for a while and then a few weeks ago he surprised me by starting the adoption application. We adopted Willow a little over a week ago. She is a 6 month puppy from an FCACC Foster mom. She makes Henry and I laugh on a daily basis in addition to being another challenge in the Knight house!
With the gentlemen working on our house, and our new addition, you would think that we would feel we had enough on our plates. However before we added a puppy and construction to our calendar, I had come down with some interesting symptoms: nausea, sensitive gums, sensitivity to smells and exhaustion were all part of my daily life. Some of you who have felt the same way before probably know what these symptoms entail. For those of you who need a little help in diagnosing these strangeties, Henry and I found out we were pregnant in July! We have successfully made it through the 1st Trimester and our little one should be taking the first breath of fresh air mid-March.
And then our house will be even fuller. Even though the house is coming along, we are still unsure of where we will put a baby. It might have to be that we put the little one in our closet or dresser drawer due to the fact we sleep in the only bedroom in the apartment. We shall see. But for now, we continue being busy with the other parts of our lives, knowing that things will fall into place.
And hopefully in the mean time, this family will become a better HOME in addition to a better house.
