Back to India

Henry and I made it to Hubli, India.
That is after a 14 hour flight to Delhi, a 6 hour layover, then a 4.5 flight to Bangalore. We were quickly (45min) driven to a hotel around 12am to sleep until 5:30 when we would be taken to the train. This train brought us to Hubli around 3pm where we were then picked up and taken to the hotel another 40 minutes away.
We are in Hubli for the annual Suzlon conference for the remainder of this week.
Upon arriving at the hotel a swarm of people came around to welcome us, we were handed chocolate roses and photos were taken of our every move. We felt like celebrities. However the excitement did not end there. We barely got settled into our quaint cottage when we had to attend the “Unveiling Ceremony” – like the opening for our conferences in the US, except that we normally don’t have dancing acrobats and loud drums. Henry and I finally crashed onto our very hard bed at about 11pm.
This morning we had to wake up around 6:45 – Henry had to be at the conference, and I had an appointment with some local tour guides. Well they were local, but the temples that they were taking us was more like 3.5 hours away. I’ve posted photos from both the trip here and today’s excursion.
Thank you for praying for us, and continue to do so!  And plan on reading more soon.
